Arrest made in connection with drive-by shooting in Benton Township

A Benton Harbor man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting last month outside of the Benton Township Meijer.

Nicholas Branscumb, 29, has been charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, as well as weapons charges.

The victim in the shooting says he was walking between a car wash and Meijer on March 23 when someone in a car began shooting at him.

Fortunately he was uninjured.
