A man reported missing and endangered, Larry Waldschmidt, has been found dead in Penn Township in Cass County.

Wadschmidt pulled into a residence on Kelsey Lake St west of Decatur Road where the owners were not staying, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

His vehicle appeared parked in the driveway as it belonged, so it was not considered suspicious.

Waldschmidt, 78, of Dowagiac, was reported missing on March 27, 2019.

He was considered endangered due to him being insulin dependent diabetic and Alzheimer’s patient.

Dozens of tips from around the state were given as possible sighting but after being investigated were unfounded.

An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
