Police: Alcohol, marijuana may factor into crash into garage

Alcohol and marijuana may be factors in a crash in which a Union Michigan man crashed through a garage at a home.

The collision happened before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, on Sunset Blvd south of U.S. 12 in Porter Township.

The 55 yr old Union man was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road and drove through a detached garage at a residence.

He suffered a minor laceration on his forehead.

The 46-year-old homeowner was standing inside the garage when the vehicle traveled through it.

The homeowner was transported to Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart Indiana for his injuries.
