Man shot while sitting in vehicle early Saturday morning in South Bend

The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday morning, April 20.

Officers were sent to the hospital for a walk-in victim just before 5:30 a.m.

Officers met with a 22-year-old male victim who suffered a wound to the face and cuts from broken glass.

The victim was in a vehicle, possibly on LaSalle Avenue, sometime between 4:20 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. when an unknown person opened fire.
