A Florida man was killed in a semi-related crash on U.S. 31 in Berrien County.

The collision happened on Thursday, May 9, when investigators say a Mishawka man driving a Jeep Wrangler towing a trailer was struck by a semi. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the road.

The Jeep rolled, slid into several trees. A passenger was ejected, but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The semi also rolled and hit some trees.

The semi driver, David John Schultz, 58, of Eustis, Florida, was entrapped inside and pronounced dead at the scene.
