Kosciusko County’s NET 43 arrests two, discovers large amounts of cash & drugs

Two Warsaw residents were arrested on drug charges on Thursday, May 17, after the narcotics enforcement team – NET 43 – discovered a large amount of drugs and cash.

Gerardo Sanchez, 28, was arrested for dealing methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, possession of marijuana with enhancing circumstances, neglect of a dependent, dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Mallory Lynn Zellmer, 27, was arrested for neglect of a dependent, domestic battery with a minor under 16 present, dealing marijuana, domestic battery and possession of marijuana.

The Warsaw Police Department was initially called for a reported domestic disturbance at a home on Poplar Street. When on the scene, officers noted the odor of marijuana.

NET 43 was then called in. Task force members discovered more than 7.25 lbs of marijuana, 1.6 grams of methamphetamine, narcotic paraphernalia, 60 grams of THC oil and more than $21,000 in cash.

In addition to the Warsaw Police Department, NET 43 was also assisted by the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
