One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash in Kosciusko County on Monday, June 3.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred at CR 175 E, north of CR 75 N, in Wayne Township.

Preliminary investigation results indicate a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Redid Velazquez was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line and into the path of a northbound car.

Velazquez was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma at the scene. Officials attempted to locate Velazquez’s next of kin, but were unsuccessful.

The driver of the northbound car was a woman from Warsaw who was taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Fatal Team.
