A hit and run crash Tuesday morning led to a report of shots fired in St. Joseph County.

A witness told 953 MNC the two vehicles reportedly pulled off to the side of the road on Cleveland not far from 933, and shots were fired.

The victim in the crash reportedly chased the other driver, out of South Bend and into the county.

Police say there was possibly one person taken into custody after they investigated the two scenes, which included the area of the Portage Road Meijer store.
