UPDATE: Fog a Factor in Fatal Crash in St. Joseph County

Dense fog was an issue for motorists around Michiana Thursday morning; unfortunately investigators believe it was a factor in a crash that killed a motorcyclist this morning.

The fatal crash at Bittersweet and Cleveland in Granger happened at round 5:45 this morning. The crash involved a vehicle and a motorcyclist, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office says 54 year-old Ricardo Yzaguirre of Mishawaka was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman driving the car that struck his motorcycle was uninjured in the crash.

Conditions were foggy at the time but the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
