Thursday was a sad day for the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, as they received word that one of their K9 officers died suddenly.

Their K9 Nero was described as a beloved, loyal and faithful member of the department’s family, and was said to have been “a devoted and loyal partner” to Deputy Brandon Crosby for the past five years.
