Two men injured in Saturday morning shooting in South Bend

The South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 3:10 Saturday morning in the area of the 4800 block of W. Meadow Lane.

Patrol officers responded to the area after receiving reports that shots had been fired. When officers arrived, they found a 21 year old male with a wound to the lower leg. His injury is not believed to be life threatening.

Officers also learned a second victim, a 23 year old male, was being driven to the hospital with an injury to the abdomen. Doctors reported the injury as non life threatening.

This case remains under investigation by the South Bend Police Investigative Bureau.
