Vice President Pence abruptly cancels trip to New Hampshire

Vice President Mike Pence was on his was to a planned trip to New Hampshire Tuesday when he was called back to the White House for “an emergency change of schedule.”

No specifics have been given, but Pence Chief of Staff Marc Short stated that there was no emergency, and no cause for alarm. He said the trip would be rescheduled soon.

There were initial reports that Air Force Two was diverted back to Washington D.C., however Short says the plane never actually left The Capital.

A senior administration official said there was no medical issue involving Pence or President Donald Trump.
Pence’s official schedule stated that he had been scheduled to fly to Manchester, New Hampshire, to speak with former patients and others at the Granite Recovery Center, an addiction treatment facility.
