LaPorte County government suffers malware attack

The LaPorte County government was targeted by a malware attack on Saturday.

Officials said Sunday the attack disabled computer and email systems, and will interrupt the LaPorte County presence on the web for at least a couple of days.

The county has already begun working with officials who will find the best ways to both respond to the attack and prevent similar attacks in the future.

The source of the malware is unknown at this time.
