A woman was killed and four people were injured Wednesday evening in a crash in Kosciusko County.

Deputies say it happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. on US-30 east of North Fox Farm Road.

A man told police he slowed down to help a car that was stopped on the side of the road and turned on his hazard lights. He said that’s when his vehicle was rear-ended by 32 year-old Amanda Hench. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other women, aged 75 and 54, as well as two children were injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
