Man, 18, injured in shooting on Sheridan Street in South Bend

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting.

It happened just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, in the 600 block of Sheridan Street.

An 18-year-old man suffered a wound to the back, according to South Bend Police.

There is concern there may be a second shooting victim. Officers searched the area, but were not able to locate anyone. There have been no walk-in injuries at area hospital, South Bend Police stated.

The severity of the known victim’s injuries was not immediately known. The circumstances that led to the shooting were not immediately known.
