It’s a big day for Elkhart residents on Thursday, July 25, as East Jackson Boulevard is reopening to traffic.

Road construction as part of the River District Streetscape project began more than one year ago.

It’s not just drivers who will breathe a sigh of relief, with the road reopening. Many business owners in the area were affected by the East Jackson road closure, as well as other closures that took place as part of the streetscaping project.
