Indiana hit record-high numbers for Hoosiers working in private employment in June.

The Department of Workforce Development says private employment numbers in the state bested the previous record, set in February, reaching more than 2,750,000.

The biggest employment gains in June came from the Private Educational and Health Services, and the Professional and Business Services sectors. Between them, they added 6,100 jobs.

Workforce Development says the strong numbers are “a testament to the state’s business-friendly climate.”
