St. Joseph County Sheriff Bill Redman took 50 young people to the movies on Friday to see The Lion King.

The Sheriff, along with La Casa de Amistad, Men’s Talk, and Coquillard Elementary School arranged for 50 kids between the ages of 5 and 15 to attend a private viewing of the new Disney film at Movies 14 in Mishawaka.

Sheriff Redman says he wanted to give the kids a special treat and and spend some time with local law enforcement. He said he picked The Lion King because it was one of his favorite movies to watch while raising his daughters, and he thinks the message is a good one for our youth.
