South Bend Police investigating three shooting incidents that happened on Saturday

South Bend Police are investigating several shootings that took place on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Officers were called to the area of Arthur and Bissell Streets around 7:20 p.m. where they found a 22-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.

A few moments later, officers were called to Cedar Street where they found a 17-year-old boy who was also shot.

Investigators are trying to determine whether those two shootings are related and if they are connceted to a large gather in Coquillard Park.


The teen was rushed into surgery and is expected to survive.

Around 10:45 p.m., police were called to the hospital after a 29-year-old man arrived with at least one non-life-threatening bullet wound to the leg. The shooting took place in the 2500 block of Kenwood.


So far, there is no word of any suspects or arrests.
