Nappanee man arrested after crashing into a motorcyclist

A Nappanee man was arrested following a crash that left Warsaw man seriously injured.

The collision happened just after 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, on Pierceton Road near County Road 600 E, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

The preliminary cause indicates that Glen Chupp, 20, was driving his 1997 Pontiac Firebird eastbound on Pierceton Road when he went to pass another eastbound vehicle, the sheriff’s department stated.

While Chupp was passing, he struck a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Edward Frost, 51, the sheriff’s department stated.

Frost was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne with serious injuries.

Chupp was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness.
