Man suffers critical injuries after being struck by SUV in Berrien County

A man is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV.

It happened around 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, on East Napier Avenue near Columbus in Benton Township.

The man was walking westbound in the eastbound lane when he was struck by the vehicle, which was driven by a 48-year old woman, according to Benton Township Police.

The man suffered head and leg injuries and was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
