Three teenagers were taken into custody after a SWAT standoff at a home in South Bend.

It happened on Friday afternoon, Aug. 9, in the 100 block of East Woodside Street after police saw a stolen truck with three people inside.

Investigators believed one of the three people matched the description of a person wanted for armed robbery, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

When police tried to stop the truck, the three people inside ran into the home, resulting in the standoff.

Two suspects surrendered. Police shot tear gas in order to get the third suspect out of the house.

The teens were taken into custody. None of teens turned out to bee the armed robbery suspect.
