Indiana’s unemployment rate was still lower than the national average in July.
The July Employment Report for The Hoosier State says the unemployment rate has dropped to 3.4%, which is lower than the national rate of 3.7%.
The numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics suggest the labor force in the state had a net decrease of just over 6600 over the previous month.
Indiana’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.38 million, and the state’s labor force participation rate remains above the national rate.
