Police in Bremen arrested two people on drug charges after a report of suspicious activity.

On Saturday night, Aug. 17, officers arrived at an apartment building at the intersection of East Plymouth and South Alexander.

The two suspects went into the building when they saw the police arrive, only to run out of the other side of the building.

Jordan Merchant of Nappanee and Alexandra Berkes of Syracuse were arrested for outstanding warrants and multiple drug charges.

Investigators say Merchant was found hiding in the woods nearby.
