Man found guilty in double murder stemming from drug deal

A man accused of double murder in a South Bend drug deal gone wrong, two years ago, has learned his fate.

Benito Pedraza, 27, was found guilty on both murder counts and an additional robbery charge in connection with the deaths of Damon Bethel and Anton James at a house on Frederickson Street back in August 2017.

Pedraza was one of six people charged in the shooting, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

He will be sentenced in October.
