The State of Indiana has one of the highest average college tuition costs in the U.S.
Most of the Top Ten on the list are out east, with Rhode Island having the priciest average tuition rates. But Indiana finished 6th on the list with an average in-state tuition of more than $21,000 per year.
The list from Move dot org says much of that is due to schools like Notre Dame, Purdue and I-U, each of which are pricey for native and out-of-state students alike.
Michigan was near the middle of the pack, ranked as the 22nd most expensive out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Wyoming had the most affordable tuition in the country.
