It certainly won’t be anything like Hurricane Dorian, but strong to severe storms are possible in the region late on Tuesday, Sep. 3.
Clouds move back in, Tuesday, as a cold front approaches. It will bring a line of showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to severe. The main threats are damaging wind and heavy rain but a weak isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Once the cold front swings through, we are left with very Fall-like conditions through the remainder of the week. Wind will be gusty for Wednesday, creating high waves and dangerous swimming conditions along Lake Michigan.
