UPDATE: Autopsy results released for 16-year-old shot and killed Friday

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed and an 18-year-old man is recovering after a shooting in South Bend.

Police were called to the area of Sampson Street and Calvert Street around 9:35 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 6.

The person who died was identified as Curtis A. Frazier, Jr. of South Bend.

The County Metro Homicide Unit (CMHU) reports Frazier died from a gunshot wound to the chest. His death has been ruled a homicide, according to ABC 57.

The second individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where his condition was stabilized.

The CMHU has conducted several interviews and continues to actively investigate. No suspects are in custody at this time.
