Late Night South Bend Shooting Leaves One Injured

Police were alerted by shot spotter to the 1900 block of Lincoln Way West just after 11 pm, and once there they found a 37 year old male with a gunshot wound to his leg.

His injuries were not life threatening and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.  Police will continue to investigate.

The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Lincoln Way West around 11:05 Sunday night.

Officers initially responded to a ShotSpotter Activation. As officers were responding a call came in for a male reportedly shot.

Officers located a 37 year old male with an injury to his lower leg. He was taken to the hospital by medics and treated for a non life threatening injury.

Through the initial investigation, the victim reports hearing shots and then a pain in his leg.
The South Bend Police Investigative Bureau continues to investigate.
