Semi loses load of Nutella in I-94 crash

A semi rollover in LaPorte County spilled a delicious treat all over I-94.

However, the 44 thousand pounds of Nutella cocoa spread were accompanied by 150 gallons of diesel fuel.

Indiana State Police say it happened around 9:30 Monday night on the interstate, not far from the Michigan State Line.

The driver of a truck out of Ontario said that a car “slammed on its brakes” in front of him and caused him to crash into the median while steering to avoid it. The semi overturned and blocked all three lanes of westbound traffic.

The driver was not injured.

IF TRUE!! All trucks should be equipped with truck cams. If the driver who “Slammed on the brakes” is traced by license number they should loose their license for at least ten years. I for one am TIRED OF SMART ALEC DRIVERS WHO DO THIS. I WILL not take the ditch if it endangers my life. Said smart alec will have to endure a truck driving over their rear bumper!!!!!

The truck driver was probably going the speed limit through that 3 miles of construction in Michigan and bra k e checked the semi once he got around. This happens a lot more that what is reported because the truck driver either gets killed or kills somebody else and can’t talk about it. I’ve been brake checked more times than I can remember.
