SWET execute search warrants at homes in Saint Joseph, Benton Harbor; four arrested

Several people are facing charges after members of the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) served search warrants in Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor.

The first warrant was served at a home in Saint Joseph on Wednesday, Sept. 11 after a month-long investigation into the distribution of crystal meth.

Amanda Borrelli, 36, was arrested. During the search, police found approximately half an ounce of crystal meth, heroin and approximately 30 morphine pills. Other drug-related items were also found on the property.

Borrelli was booked into the Berrien County Jail and is facing the following charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Crystal Meth
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
  • Maintaining a Drug House

Police are searching for Matthew Jordan, 30, in connection with the investigation. He was not at the house during the time of the search, and is currently a fugitive parole absconder.

On Monday, Sept. 16, another search warrant was executed by SWET at a home in Benton Harbor.

Three suspects were inside the home at the time of the search, including William Beecham, 27, Tipton Walker, 23, and Jamon Hill, 26.

During the search, officers located approximately two ounces of heroin, a Glock pistol with an extended magazine, ammunition, approximately three pounds of marijuana and other drug-related items.

All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Berrien County Jail on numerous felony charges, which include:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Possession of Ammo by a Felon
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Maintaining a Drug House
  • Bond Violation
  • Tether Violation
  • Felony Probation Violation
