A close call for workers at Interior Components Plus in Elkhart on Wednesday morning, as they had to evacuate the building for a fire around 4am. When firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke throughout the whole building, but luckily the fire was contained to a single lamination machine.

Investigators determined there was a malfunction that caused the fire. Once it was put out they were able to resume operations as normal.

There was no word of any injuries in the initial fire report.
