Westville Correctional Facility staff member arrested for trafficking drugs, cell phones

A Westville Correctional Facility staff member has been arrested after allegedly trafficking drugs and cell phones into the prison.

Joshua Spyker, 20 of Westville, was arrested on Thursday and transported to the LaPorte County Jail. He’s facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance – Level 5 Felony
  • Trafficking a Cellular Device – Level 5 Felony
  • Bribery – Level 5 Felony

Spyker was hired in January 2019 as a maintenance foreman and is currently on suspension.
