County Road 800 West in northwestern Kosciusko County will remain closed for a few more days.

Sergeant Chris Francis with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says cleanup efforts will keep the road shutdown after 7,700 gallons of ethanol alcohol spilled and caught fire on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The fires burned into the adjacent farm fields and burnt the semi-truck and its trailer down to charred pieces of steel.

The driver from the truck was able to escape with minor injuries after the truck he was driving overturned and rolled several times before catching fire.
