A Marcellus woman is recovering from injuries after a crash in Cass County.

The collision happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, on Hathaway Road near Church Street.

The 30-year-old woman was traveling northbound on Hathaway when she moved closer to the side of the road to make room for another vehicle approaching, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

While doing so, the woman’s vehicle entered into a small culvert in the roadway, then struck a tree, the sheriff’s department reported.

The woman was taken to Borgess Kalamazoo Hospital for her injuries.
