MSP Investigate Firewood Theft; Homeowner Almost Hit by Car

Firewood theft isn’t what you would expect to hear about in the news, but when the actual owner almost gets run over its gets the attention of local police. Michigan State Police say that the theft occurred in St. Joseph County in Farm River Township, on Bauman Road.

The suspects drove onto the property and started loading their vehicle up with firewood when the homeowner came out to confront them. That’s when they took off and nearly hit the homeowner. The vehicle, described as a black Jeep Cherokee then drove into Indiana and its whereabouts are unknown.
