LaPorte County will have a unique chance to get to know the new dogbone interchange at US 20 and State Road 2 on Friday.

The public is invited to a special preview event at 3 PM Central Time and “Walk Your Dog On The Dogbone.” You, your dog on a leash, and some poo bags can walk the upcoming 9 million-dollar interchange after a brief ceremony.

The interchange will NOT be open to vehicle traffic after the event ends, however. That’s scheduled to happen later this month.

Visitors will have to approach from an approved spot in the barricades on State Road 2 from LaPorte, in the south, to be a part of the event.
