Teenage Boy Hit By Car in His Backyard

An unfortunate series of events led to a teenager being hit by a car, while napping in his own backyard earlier this week.

It happened around noon on Tuesday when, at the intersection of Division and Lawrence, a vehicle pulled through when it wasn’t supposed to and another driver had to swerve to avoid a collision. That corrective move sent the second car through a back yard fence that had 18 year old Dominic Chipps on the other side.

ABC 57 reports that Chipps was napping in a tent at the time and was pinned under the vehicle. The good news is that the teen is expected to be alright. He suffered a concussion along with cuts and scrapes.
