Notre Dame Fails to Sell Out; First Time in Nearly Half a Century

Not the news that Notre Dame wants going into an iconic match up with Navy at home. Saturday’s game will mark the first time in 46 years that a home game did not sell out. That equals up to 273 consecutive home games.

ND’s Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick tells the South Bend Tribune that while it’s a point of distinction for fans it was never that important to him to keep the streak alive.

As of Thursday morning tickets could be purchased on StubHub for as low as $12 each.

What? The Coliseum is not full? How can the citizens be distracted from real things if they are not interested in the games?
