Woman armed with machete robs Shipshewana hotel

Shipshewana Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Van Buren Hotel.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, Nov. 16, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Witnesses told police a woman wearing a ski mask and dark clothing and armed with the machete entered the lobby and threatened a worker and demanded money.

She left the hotel with cash and got into an older model car with a second suspect inside and headed north on State Road 5.
