Coloma Priest Pleads Guilt to Wrapping Teen in Plastic and Detaining Him

A priest from Coloma accused of holding a teenager against his will has officially pleaded guilty.

The incident happened at St. Margaret’s Church in 2013 when prosecutors say Father Brian Stanley wrapped a teenager in tight plastic wrap and held him against his will in a janitors closet, he even used masking tape and other binding to cover his eyes and mouth. He was left in that closet for an hour.

Stanley will face up to 5 years in prison and have to remain registered as a sex offender for 15 years. READ MORE HERE WITH ABC 57 NEWS

Michigan attorney Dana Nessel, reference a similar case, said the department remains “steadfast in it’s commitment” to end pursue justice for those abused by clergy members.
