Man killed, woman injured after shooting on Wagner Avenue in Elkhart

A 26-year-old man died and a 25-year-old woman was injured in a shooting that happened in the 300 block of Wagner Avenue in Elkhart just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Elkhart Police released the following information about the shooting:

On November 23, 2019 at 11:26 pm officers were dispatched to 355 Wagner Ave. in regards to a shooting with injuries that occurred in the front of residence.

Officers arrived on scene and located two victims. The victims were taken to the Elkhart General Hospital. A 26 years old male was later pronounced deceased. A 25 year old female has non-life threatening injuries to her lower extremities.

Officers secured the scene and called in Detectives from the Elkhart County Homicide Unit to work the case. There is no immediate threat to public safety. There have been no arrests at this time.
