A lawmaker from Merrilville has announced his support of Pete Buttigieg for President.

First District Representative Pete Visclosky cites the mayor’s record of standing with working families and his vision for an economy that works for everyone.

The Congressman says he’s known Buttigieg for nearly a decade and has seen his work with organized labor, as well as his efforts to create economic opportunities for working families.

Visclosky is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, the Energy and Water Subcommittee, and serves as the Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
