South Bend Police may be looking for an arsonist after a house fire under bizarre circumstances in the Northwest neighborhood.

It happened late Sunday night when a resident heard several booming sounds and went outside to find his next door neighbors house up in flames. That neighbor tells ABC 57 News that his ring doorbell picked up some sort of movement before the incident, and it alerted him on his phone.

Unfortunately, even with the video, there is no suspect description or information available. This is the 8th fire with a similar description in the same neighborhood over the past two months.

The case remains under investigation.
