Woman shot, killed in Benton Harbor identified

The woman shot to death in Benton Harbor on Sunday, Dec. 8, has been identified.

The body of Quintina Jeffries, 29, was found in the 100 block of May Street.

Investigators say she died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Benton Harbor detectives are following up on leads and have interviewed several
people, but they have not yet announced any suspects or arrests.

Jeffries leaves behind an 8-year-old son.

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety released the following information:

The victim in this incident has been identified as a 29 year old female by the name of
Quintina Jeffries. Ms Jeffries was a resident of the City of Benton Harbor and leaves
behind an 8 year old son, as well as other relatives. The results of the autopsy
identified the cause of death as gunfire.

BHDPS Detectives are diligently following up on leads and have interviewed several
people and have had great cooperation with several potential witnesses. More
information is needed however.
