A former South Bend basketball coach was sentenced in federal court to five years in prison on drug trafficking and weapons related crimes.

It was back in December of 2018 when police executed a search warrant at the home of Ramon Lenoir, 38.

When officers entered the home, they found Lenior trying to flush methamphetamine down the toilet.

During the search, officers found over $7,000 in cash, about 334.7 grams of meth, 163 grams of marijuana, about 6.8 grams of cocaine, three handguns, and three long guns.

Lenoir later admitted that he possessed at least one handgun for protection while he was engaged in dealing methamphetamine.
