One person injured in Elkhart house fire

It was just minor injuries to a person caught in a house fire in Elkhart.

Crews were called to the home in the 500 block of Moody Avenue late on Wednesday night, Dec. 18,  to find smoke coming from a second-floor window.

It’s believed the blaze started in a bedroom closet.

The person hurt was treated and the scene and released.

There was no immediate word about the cause.
