Winter break lunch program planned at South Bend Schools

The South Bend Schools will be serving free meals during their winter break for kids who might not have enough to eat during the holidays.

The South bend Tribune reports that starting Monday, a number of schools will be open with free on-the-go lunch services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The service will be available December 23, 26, 27 and 30, and again on January 2 and 3.

Meals will be available at the following schools for any South Bend students:

Coquillard Elementary School, 1245 N. Sheridan Ave.
Kennedy Academy, 609 N. Olive St.
Harrison Elementary School, 3302 W. Western Ave.
Jackson Middle School, 5001 S. Miami Road
Monroe Elementary School, 312 E. Donmoyer Dr.
Nuner Fine Arts Academy, 2716 Pleasant St.
McKinley Elementary School, 228 N. Greenlawn Ave.
Darden Elementary School, 18645 Janet St.
