St. Joseph County Metro Homicide is investigating the shooting of two people in South Bend.

The gunfire rang out around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Ripples Bar in the area of Michigan Street near Donald Street.

A 32-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 28-year-old man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

So far, there is no word on the circumstances that led to the shooting or any suspects or arrests.
