The man found dead in an alley near the 1300 block of Corby Blvd. in South Bend has been identified.

The discovery was made around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The man, Deshawn Daniel Pfeifer, 20, was found having suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit was interviewing witnesses and friends of the victim on Saturday. So far, there is no word of any suspects or arrests.
